Srikakulam: Registrations dept yet to receive orders on 'table of fees'
Srikakulam: Though the state government issued orders on November 17 through GO M S No: 353 cancelling "table of fee" for issuing documents like encumbrance certificate (EC), certified copies (CC) of documents, search reports and market value statements from the concerned sub-registrar's offices (SRO), the higher authorities are yet to issue orders in this regard.
Previously on August 17, 2003 the then government issued orders with GO M S No 463 by imposing "table of fee" for the above-mentioned certified documents. Till November 16, this year people are paying Rs 200 for search report, Rs 220 for EC, Rs 340 for CC and Rs 10 for market value statement. But the government orders are not being implemented properly and people are still paying amount for all the above mentioned documents.
"I have paid fee for search report and EC at Srikakulam SRO on November 18," said Kalle Appanna Reddy of Vomaravalli village in Gara mandal. When asked about fee exemption, the concerned staff at the SRO told me that they have yet to receive orders regarding fee exemption and issuance on free of cost. "I too paid Rs 200 for search report at SRO Kotabommali on Friday," said Aakasam Sridevi of Borubhadra village in Santhabommali mandal.
