Srikakulam: Speaker exhorts players to hone skills in cricket

Srikakulam: Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram on Friday suggested the cricket players to improve their skills in the game by making concerted efforts and regular practice.

He attended as chief guest for swearing-in ceremony of new cricket body for boys' and girls' teams in the district on Friday.

On the occasion, YSRCP youth wing state general secretary Tammineni Venkata Srirama Chiranjivi Nag assumed charge as president for the district cricket association. Chiranjivi Nag was the only son of the Speaker Sitaram.

Speaking on the occasion, the Speaker suggested the cricket association representatives to spread cricket game in all areas in the district. "Only sports and games will get international identity in a short span to persons," he said. The Speaker suggested the new association to keep away from disputes and controversies. He also assured to improve play grounds in the district to make up new teams in several parts of district.

Speaking on the occasion, association new president Chiranjivi Nag said he was ardent lover of cricket and vowed to make all efforts for development of the game in the district. YSRCP Rajam MLA K Jogulu, District Cooperative Central Bank Chairperson
