Srisailam temple ready for 10-day Brahmotsavams
Kurnool: The 10-day Sivaratri Bhramotsavams will start from February 14 at Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna temple at Srisailam. The temple authorities have made all necessary arrangements for the more than 10 lakh devotees that are expected to throng the shrine for the auspicious occasion.
Further, police department is also taking steps to provide fool-proof security during the 10-day festival.
According to the department, 1,500 police personnel, have been deployed with two Armed Reserve Additional SPs, 8 DSP, 26 Circle Inspector, 70 SIs, 236 ASIs and head constables supervising the force.
Seventeen women SIs and head constables, 649 constables, 36 women constables, 300 home guards (male), 25 women home guards, 15 sections of AR platoons, 6 special party teams, quick reation teams, bomb disposal squads, dog squads and other police personnel in civil dress have also been deployed Apart from Andhra Pradesh, devotees from Karnataka, Maharashtra and Telangana states would visit the temple during the fete.
Necessary steps have been taken to ensure no traffic problems are faced by the devotees.
Deep sea swimmers were also arranged at Pathalaganga where devotees will have a holy dip in River Krishna. Control room has been set up so that the missing cases could be lodged.
During the Bhramotsavams, huge number of devotees are expected on 21, the Sivaratri day. The festivities will conclude on February 24.
