Srisailam temple scam: Police finds corruption of worth 2.12 crore, 27 arrested

The Srisailam Mallanna Devasthanam financial scandal which created a sensation in Andhra Pradesh has been bursted by the police and four cases were registered against the accused. A total of 27 accused have been arrested. These frauds have been done through double printing and fake IDs. Police investigations revealed that the fraud was committed by Shift Before Closing and Login ID Change. DSP Venkatrao said the scam amounted to Rs 2.12 crore.

Meanwhile, a car has been recovered along with a recovery of Rs 83.40 lakh so far. It is learned that some of the accused could be taken into police custody. The recent scandal at the Srisailam temple has come to light. Some of the accused have devoured the money of the devotees. The police came to know that a large amount of money from the maintenance of donation counters, accommodation counter, toll gate and functioning of petrol bunk has been looted.

The police have investigated the case and found Rs. 2.12 crore worth corruption. Further investigation of the accused would likely to bring the truth out.
