SSC students will have 6 papers instead 11 for concluding academic year in AP
Amaravati: The government has issued orders regarding newly introducing six paper pattern examinations to reduce the strain on students of the tenth standard during the COVID19, on Friday. So far, there were 11 paper exams for the students. This new pattern will be for this year only to tide over the difficulties involved due to COVID19 and the consequent lockdown, explained B Rajasekhar, Principal Secretary, School Education department in a GO MS No 30 on Friday.
He further explained that this pattern is for SSC Public Examinations 2020 and advanced supplementary examinations 2020 only.
The six paper pattern introduced for the benefit of the students belong to the poor and vulnerable households, those who have no access or partial access to technology to be provided with a level playing field to ensure equity. The six subjects will have six papers with 100 marks each.
As part of this, both General Science Paper -1 (Physical Science) and GS Paper -2 (Biological Science) will be merged as one paper as General Science. But, this GS paper will be divided into Part A and Part B with continuous question numbers up to 33. Each part will be divided into four sections. At the same time, the answer booklet and OMR sheet will be issued separately for Part – A and Part – B to facilitate evaluation without any difficulty.
There will be no change in the marks pattern of Composite courses such as 03T/04S and 03U/08H, 05A, 06P and the OSSC courses. There will be no change in the Vocational courses. The examination will be carried duly following the containment, control and prevention of COVID19 guidelines, explained Rajasekhar.
