St Teresa College bags award for best service

Eluru: St Teresa's College for Women, a pioneer in the field of education and service, bagged the gold medal for providing the best services at a programme organised by the state unit of Indian Red Cross Society at SS Convention Centre in Vijayawada on Tuesday.

College principal Dr Marietta D'Mello received the gold medal and a shield from Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan for the services rendered by the institution for Indian Red Cross Society. The awards were given for the best performers during the year 2018-19.

The coordinator of Indian Red Cross Society Chittemma and nodal officers Y Aruna Jhansi and N Bhavani also received silver medals. Student volunteers of St Teresa's college G Jayasri, D Madhuri and K Shruti received silver medals. The maximum number of medals were won by the institution, staff and students.

Superior and correspondent Sister Lourdu Mary congratulated the winners for the team work and for winning of medals. She said that the students should participate in more such activities and bring laurels to their institute and make everybody proud.
