State committed to welfare of small vendors: MP Margani Bharat Ram

Rajamahendravaram: MP Margani Bharat Ram has said that the State government is committed to the welfare of small vendors, who eke out their livelihood on push carts.

Distributing eco-friendly solar light push carts to the petty vendors at VL Puram centre on Friday, he said the city was selected as pilot project and in a phased manner, the eco-friendly solar light pushing carts will be introduced in all remaining six Assembly constituencies of Gopalapuram, Nidadavolu, Kovvur, Anaparthi, Rajanagaram and Rajamahendravaram rural of the parliamentary constituency.

The petty vendors hereafter need not pay amount to charge the existing lights as solar panels arranged on the pushing carts which will be charged in the day time automatically, he added.

GAIL India Limited spent an amount of Rs 25,000 to each eco-friendly solar pushing cart and Bharat thanked the management for extending their support in this regard.

He assured to extend necessary help to the petty vendors for their wellbeing. YSRCP city coordinator S Sivarama Subramanyam and GAIL officials were present.
