Nellore: Former Minister and Venkatagiri Assembly YSR Congress candidate Anam Ramanarayana Reddy said that present trend in politics in the State only indicates that the State government was planning to eliminate leaders representing the Opposition party.

He addressed the media on Saturday at his residence and condemned killing of former Minister and senior YSRCP leader YS Vivekananda Reddy.

He opined that there could be a huge conspiracy behind the murder of Vivekananda Reddy and demanded that the State government conduct a CBI probe into his death.

He said there are suspicions over the role of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu behind such incidents of violence.

Anam alleged that the Chief Minister was indulging in irregularities to somehow secure victory in the ensuing polls.

Stating that the election notification has been given and there is caretaker government in AP, he sought the intervention of Governor for an impartial probe into the murder of Vivekananda Reddy.
