State Govt house-sites to fetch loans
Srikakulam: The State government has decided to provide legality to house-sites which will be distributed soon as part of Navaratnalu. The government drew guidelines for it and decided to follow document execution and registration procedure. To fulfill it, mandal tahsildars have been provided powers on par with joint registrars and sub-registrars for registration purpose of the sites to poor. The government planned to distribute 25 lakh house-sites on the eve of Ugadi festival on March 25. In Srikakulam, in total 1,09,755 beneficiaries have been identified to distribute house-sites. As per the guidelines released by the government regarding house-sites, each beneficiary needs to pay Rs 20 and the document executed on non-judicial stamp paper worth Rs 10.
All the requirements as per the Stamps and Registration Act will be followed for distribution of house-sites. These sites will be registered as revenue department shall stand as executants and beneficiary shall be showed as claimant in the document and the document contained three pages including schedule, location, boundaries of each property will be mentioned. Beneficiaries who receive the house-sites can construct house, can get loan facility from banks by mortgaging it and to alienate further to their family members as per succession rules and sale the site after five years.
