Stop attacks on TDP cadres: Galla Jayadev

Guntur: MP Galla Jayadev on Tuesday warned of intensifying agitation against attacks on TDP supporters by the ruling party if they were not stopped. Jayadev addressed a dharna by TDP leaders at NTR statue in Phirangipuram here on Tuesday protesting attacks on TDP leaders and activists by the YSRCP since the new government came to power.

He alleged that while YSRCP leaders were carrying attacks on TDP activists, the police officials on the other hand were foisting false cases against them. He demanded immediate withdrawal of false cases against the TDP supporters.

He warned that he would call for Chalo Punugupadu agitation if the illegal wall constructed by YSRCP supporters blocking the road at the Punugupadu village under Phirangipuram is not demolished immediately.

He criticised that the YSRCP government was wasting time on taking revenge on TDP resulting in neglect of administration and meeting the needs of people. Former MLA Tenali Sravan Kumar was among those participated.

Later, they submitted a memorandum to the Narasaraopet Circle Inspector demanding that this biased approach may be stopped immediately and law be applied to equally.
