Strive to serve people, ward women Secretariat system told: Chittoor Collector N B Guptha

Chittoor: District Collector N B Guptha stated that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy introduced Village /Ward Secretariat system with the aim to eliminate corruption and to provide benefits of welfare schemes to rural people. A training programme for the newly recruited women security secretaries was held at Chittoor DPO office and the Collector was the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion , N B Guptha said that the newly recruited women security secretaries should develop contacts with the people to know their requirements. ``It is an opportunity for the newly recruited village /ward women security secretaries to serve people with an innovative initiative. They should play vital role in preventing the activities of anti-social elements,'' he said.

Explaining the concept of the Village /ward Women Security Secretaries Chittoor SP S Senthil Kumar said that 1,325 candidates were selected as village /ward women security secretaries in the district and training would be imparted to them in 15 days. They should create awareness among the public over various laws and Acts. For clarifications, the village /ward women security secretaries should approach the Sub Inspectors, he said. K. Kodanda Rami Reddy, ZP CEO, E Supraja, Additional SP , Siva Reddy, DPO, Dr.Penchalaiah , DMHO and others were present . District Collector later interacted with several women security secretaries.
