Students advised to build character to become good citizens: Swami Anupamananda

Tirupati: The three-day Rathayathra organised by Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama in Tirupati to commemorate the 125 years of Swami Vivekananda's historic address at Chicago, United States, was concluded here on Saturday.

On its last day, the Rathayathra entered Sri Venkateswara Vedic University which was welcomed by the Academic Dean Prof Goli Subramanyam, Assistant Registrar Seetharama Rao, staff and students.

Addressing the students on the occasion, Swami Anupamananda of Ramakrsihna Mission Ashrama asked the students to follow the message of Swami Vivekananda to become better citizens by character building. The yathra later proceeded to Vivas School in Srinivasa Mangapuram where Swami Divya Dharmananda addressed the students.

In the evening it entered Pudipatla and it was welcomed by devotees of Ramakrishna Seva Samajam and public. The yathra was coordinated by Swami Prajnanathananda, Dr GS Prasad, Prof PV Reddy G Sreedevi and others.
