Sunrise Tower in Visakhapatnam likely to be secretariat of Andhra Pradesh
It seems the YSRCP government headed by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is least bothered about the ongoing agitation on Amaravati. Despite high power committee's report is awaited, the government is going ahead in making arrangements to shift the capital to Visakhapatnam.
In the wake of the Boston committee report submitted to Jagan on Friday, which recommended to make Visakhapatnam as the executive capital, CM Secretary Praveen Prakash has visited Visakhapatnam on Saturday to inspected the Secretariat and CM's office buildings.
IT officials who inspected the Sunrise tower at Innovation Valley Towers in Vishakhapatnam have found it favourable to the CM's office while the adjacent Millennium Tower is expected to be viable for the Secretariat. To this extent, officials met with representatives of IT companies. Mathurawada buildings at IT Hills are also inspected.
The government administration has focused on the appropriation of public lands on the outskirts of Visakhapatnam. Approximately 4000 acres were identified and 164 acres were prepared. The unused Lands allocated to various companies were identified.
