Super spreader transmits covid-19 to 116 people in Mamidada village of East Godavari

In a most alarming issue, as many as 116 Coronavirus positive cases reported in Gollala village Mamidada village of Peddapudi Mandal of East Godavari district. The village which is known to be hamlet has grabbed the attention with the most number of cases reported in a village across the country as of Wednesday on June 3.

The 116 patients have said to be affected by the dreadful virus from a single person in Kakinada. The 53-year aged man has reported to the hospital after being traced with Coronavirus. However, being a worker at the hotel and a photographer, the COVID-19 carrier is turned out to be super spreader who met many people in the village resulting in 116 positive cases.

The super spreader is said to have participated in the mask distribution program held at the village. All these incidents have plunged to the community spread of the virus. However, the officials have been in operation to trace out the origin of the super spreader.

With this scenario, the Coronavirus cases have taken to more than 300 across East Godavari, while the super spreader contact cases amount to fifty per cent of it. The East Godavari collector Muralidhar Reddy said that the plunge in cases is due to the ease of lockdown from May 17.

On the other hand, the district officials have declared Mamidada village as red zone and set up a control room by drawing the officials from various departments to take measures to contain the spread.
