Swami Vivekananda remembered in Tirupati

Tirupati: Ramakrishna Mission Ashram, Tirupati paid tributes to Swami Vivekananda on the occasion of 126th year of his speech at International Congress of Parliament of Religions at Chicago on September 11, 1893.

The Secretary of Ashram Swami Anupamananda and others garlanded the statue of Vivekananda at SV Medical College Circle on Wednesday morning. Pooja was performed and books of Vivekananda's address at Chicago were distributed to the devotees and participants.

Speaking on the occasion, Swami Anupamananda has said that Vivekananda's inspiring speech at Chicago made India proud and through that speech Indian philosophy, spirituality and culture were known worldwide. He pointed out that goal of human life is to become divine by manifesting this divinity through our every thought and action. There lies solution to our problems, individual or collective. Every human being has to study life and message of Swami Vivekananda and follow it to prosper in life, he exhorted. Swami Prajnathananda, PV Reddy, GS Prasad, Dr C Swarajya Lakshmi and others present.
