Taxathon to create awareness on Income Tax in Vizag

Visakhapatnam: Marking the 159th anniversary of the Income Tax celebrations, a rally was organised by the Income Tax Department here on Sunday. Named as 'Taxathon,' the rally was aimed at creating awareness on income tax.

Department officials participated in large numbers that covered a distance of five km along the beach road. Chief Commissioner of Income Tax C R Pathi flagged off the taxathon and highlighted the importance of sticking to a healthy routine which includes a brisk walk for about 20-30 minutes a day.

Principal Commissioner Ch Omkareshwar, Joint Commissioner U Minichandran, among other officials of the department took part in large numbers.
