They said, in Tirupati itself, hundreds of constructions have come to a standstill. The State has never faced this type of situation earlier. The government was not responding to the woes of people.

The leaders have warned the government that if it fails to resolve the issue, TDP will intensify its agitation. To benefit the party leaders, only the State government has been trying to get a new sand policy but not to benefit people, they criticised. People have been facing severe shortage of water also in the city and in several colonies, water being supplied once in 4-5 days.

The party cadre has formed a human chain and raised slogans against the government due to which traffic came to a standstill. Police has entered the scene to convince the party cadre and restored traffic after some time. Party leaders D Bhaskar Yadav, RC Munikrishna, S Sudhakar Reddy, N Balaji, Sridhar Varma and others have participated.
