Anantapur: Minister Paritala Sunitha is pulling all strings to get her son Paritala Sriram nominated to Kalyandurgam Assembly constituency where the present sitting MLA Hanumantharai Choudhury is denied re-nomination by the party chief Chandrababu Naidu. Senior TDP leader and SR Constructions proprietor Amilineni Surendrababu is also under consideration for nomination to Kalyandurgam by the party high command.

For Sriram, Kalyandurgam seemed to be the only hope. Sunitha is desperately making efforts for her son's nomination as the sons of JC Brothers have been nominated in their father's positions and Sunitha does not want her son to be lagging behind and counted as a junior in the party. Surendrababu aspired for Anantapur Assembly constituency ticket way back in 2014 but Prabhakar Choudhury was preferred over him.

The TDP chief will give clarity on the 3 party tickets kept pending including Kadiri, Guntakal and Singanamala Assembly segments. There are indications that Kandikunta Venkata Prasad, ex-MLA of Kadiri will be nominated in place of sitting MLA Chand Basha, who defected to TDP from YSRCP.

The Chief Minister is likely to finalise the candidatures of Singanamala, Guntakal and Kadiri also. The process will be speeded up now in the light of release of election schedule today.
