TDP demands MLA's arrest in Proddatur murder
Amaravati: TDP Politburo member Kollu Ravindra on Wednesday demanded that the YSRCP government file a case and arrest the ruling party MLA responsible for the murder of BC leader Nandam Subbaiah at Proddatur in Kadapa district.
Kollu Ravindra asserted that the latest Proddatur murder was undoubtedly a government-sponsored killing out of sheer political persecution. The ruling YSRCP is targeting and eliminating the rising BC leaders just because they were strongly supporting the TDP.
Addressing a press conference here, the TDP leader slammed the YSRCP for resorting to violence and murders in order to suppress the Opposition and all sections of society. After Jagan Mohan Reddy became the Chief Minister, there was a serious threat to life and property belonging to the general public. The people were under constant fear not knowing which gangs would launch atrocities and attacks in which area. The government was not taking effective action though murders, rapes, gangrapes and tortures were taking place every day.
Kollu Ravindra deplored that the YSRCP regime was dividing the AP society along caste and communal lines only to get political advantage. The ruling party leaders' greed for power was causing severe harm to the general public. Especially, the BC leaders everywhere came under specific threat. However, the backward classes and weaker sections were not afraid of the intimidatory tactics of the government.
Ravindra said that in the past 19 months, the ruling YSRCP is hell bent on eliminating many TDP leaders and activists, said the TDP leader.
Andhra Pradesh is witnessing mayhem and it has turned into a den of criminals. The mafia gangs and mobsters have raised their ugly head all over the State, creating fear and panic among the people. The criminal gangs became bold and Nandam Subbaiah's murder revealed how the law and order has totally collapsed in Kadapa district in particular and in AP in general.
