TDP flays govt for curbs on media in Tirupati

Tirupati: City TDP condemned the YSRCP government for brining GO 938 again to the limelight which will curtail press freedom. The party demanded withdrawal of the GO in the interests of the media which functions as watch dog.

Speaking to media here on Saturday, TDP city president D Bhaskar Yadav warned that the YSRC government will face people's movement if it did not withdraw the GO. The government is threatening the media persons with filing of cases for publishing news reports against it. He also demanded the centre to intervene on the government regulations on media and also unchecked attacks on journalists.
