TDP held reverse walk at assembly in protest to reverse tendering policy implemented by government

With the winter session of the Assembly was started on Monday, Chandrababu Naidu led his party MLAs and MLCs in a procession to the House. In protest to reverse tendering of govt projects, Naidu walked in reverse along with his men.

The State government is saving crores of money with the reverse tendering policy. It is reported that govt saved over Rs 1600 crore.

In an attempt to display the displeasure of this loss, the TDP chief had led his party leaders in a backward walk (reverse walk) to the Assembly from the fire station.

Lokesh also joined the TDP leaders in front of the assembly to protest against the reverse rule and reserve tendering of public funds to YSRCP contractors. TDP members, MLCs and MLAs participated in the event.

Later, speaking about the bills introduced in the assembly, CM Jagan has made clear that the bills are aimed to divide the commission into two for SC and STs individually. "The goal of the bill is to make recommendations on how to address the problems of the backward people and resolve them bring revolutionary changes in the lives of SC and ST communities," CM opined.

Later while discussing the housing scheme issue, the TDP had walked out of the house.
