TDP in Palasa, YSRCP in Etcherla file papers

Srikakulam: TDP and YSRCP candidates filed nominations on Tuesday, the second day after notification, in Palasa and Etcherla assembly segments. TDP district president and Palasa TDP sitting MLA GSS Sivaji's daughter G Sirisha filed nomination as TDP candidate for Palasa constituency. She arrived at Returning Officer's (RO) office with a huge rally and submitted her nomination to the RO Deena Anitha.

Srikakulam TDP sitting MP K Rammohan Naidu, Palasa MLA GSS Sivaji, party leaders Y Venkanna Chowdari, P Vital and others were present. Before filing nomination, she offered prayers at Srirama and Sai Baba temples.

Meanwhile, G Kiran Kumar filed nomination as YSRCP candidate for Etcherla segment. He filed nomination at the RO's office within the premises of Tahasildar's office of Ranastalam mandal headquarters.

He came along with his supporters and followers and filed nomination papers to the Returning Officer M Ganapathi Rao. He offered prayers at Anjaneya Swamy temple before filing nomination. YSRCP leaders B Chandrasekhar, P Sai, G Rajagopal, M Chiranjivi and others attended.

Similarly, Naidugari Rajasekhar filed nomination as an independent candidate for Narasannapet assembly constituency. He belongs to the village where Sri Mukhalingam Shiva temple is located in Jalumuru mandal
