TDP, Jana Sena concerned over fresh gas leak in Vizag
Amaravati: TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday expressed concern over the benzene gas leakage incident at Sainor Life Sciences Pharma company in Visakhapatnam which claimed at least two died with five being hospitalised. While conveying his condolences to the families of the deceased persons, Naidu demanded the state government to immediately provide best medical treatment to those injured in the incident.
The TDP chief termed the situation 'alarming' as another poisonous gas leak occurred even as the people of the port city were yet to recover from the shock of LG Polymers tragedy.
Meanwhile, Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan said that the Vizag's latest tragedy comes though LG Polymers leak was still fresh in our memory. He also referred to the Nandyal gas incident in which another person died.
"It is painful to know the death of two persons due to poisonous gases in the Sainor plant. I extend humble sympathies to the family members of the deceased on behalf of me and Jana Sena Party. Medical assistance must be provided to those who are admitted to the hospital. Jana Sena is advocating repeatedly for inspection of protective measures from time to time in the chemical industries in the state. Why is the government not responding on the issue?" he said.
