TDP leaders focus on delivery of welfare schemes in campaign

Srikakulam: The political parties have stepped up their campaign to attract voters' attention in the district.

TDP candidates G Sirisha in Palasa, B Ashok in Itchapuram, K Atchannaidu in Tekkali, K Kala Venkata Rao in Etcherla Assembly segments are relying on the TDP government's welfare schemes like, farmers loan waiver, Annadata Sukhibhava, Pasupu-Kunkuma, Chandranna Bheema, Yuvanestam, NTR Housing and Jagajjeevan Jyothi, exemption of power bills payment to weaker sections.

TDP candidates in their respective segments prepared beneficiary data with number of families and persons and explaining the same to public during their campaign.

For example in Palasa segment, TDP candidate G Sirisha, who is daughter of sitting MLA GSS Sivaji, prepared beneficiaries data with the help of her husband and TDP leader Y Venkanna Chowdari and explaining the same to people during election campaign.

They prepared the list of beneficiaries as 15, 105 farmers under loan waiver, 29, 724 farmers under 0, 48, 500 women under Pasupu-Kunkuma.

On the other hand, YSRCP candidates are concentrating on failures of TDP government in five years like improper implementation of loan waiver scheme to farmers and self help group (SHG) women, delay in payment of unemployment dole for four-and-half years.

During election campaign, the party candidates and leaders highlighting these failures.

D Prasada Rao in Srikakulam Assembly segment, D Srinivas in Srikakulam Parliamentary segment, P Tilak in Tekkali, T Sitaram in Amudalavalasa, V Kalavathi in Palakonda, G Kiran Kumar in Etcherla segment explaining failures of TDP like non-payment of bills to hospitals under Aarogya Sri scheme, diversion of interest subsidy funds to SHG women as Pasupu-Kunkuma, failure to pay unemployment dole as Rs 3,000 to each person as assured and its implementation during last two months.

YSRCP district president, K Kruparani is highlighting all these failures with figures and data.
