TDP leaders house arrests,Protests on sand shortage

Vijayawada: The police made house arrests of several TDP leaders including MLAs, MLCs and former MLAs on Friday morning in view of protest call given by TDP on sand shortage in the state.

Tension prevailed when the police made house arrests of TDP leaders. Though the police resorted the house arrests but the rank and file of TDP staged protests across the state. Former Minister Nara Lokesh took part in the protest at Mangalagiri town in Guntur district. Former Ministers and MLAs were also present in the protests.
