TDP, Left protest potholes on road in Vizianagaram
Vizianagaram: The Left and TDP leaders staged a protest on Saturday demanding the government to patch up the potholes on Ramabhadrapuram road of Komarada mandal, which connects Odisha and Andhra Pradesh states.
They alleged that the government was not taking any measures to fill the potholes on the road. Due to heavy traffic, the road was completely damaged, they alleged. Due to potholes, frequently heavy vehicles are being either overturned or stranded on mud filled roads causing for traffic jams for hours together.
As part of protest, the leaders planted paddy saplings on the road. Circle inspector K Dasarathi reached the spot to persuade the leaders to withdraw protest. Leaders Kolli Samba Murthy, M Krishna Murthy and B Tammayya participated in the protest.
