TDP MLAs flay shabby treatment to Chandrababu Naidu
Visakhapatnam: The rank and file of the Telugu Desam Party staged a half-naked protest at the Gandhi statue near GVMC here on Saturday against what they called an ill-treatment to former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at Gannavaram Airport on Friday.
TDP MLAs Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu and Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar pointed out that the former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was frisked like an ordinary passenger. They took serious view of the TDP chief not being allowed to tarmac directly and instead was asked to board the bus along with the other passengers to reach the flight.
The MLAs said that the ruling party was deliberately targeting the TDP chief and said the security staff of the airport made the former Chief Minister undergo the regular process of security check, denying him the VIP access though he was under 'Z plus' category security. The MLAs alleged that such attitude clearly indicated insult to their party chief and demanded that the YSRCP should stop resorting to such ill-treatment.
