TDP MP Galla Jayadev questions centre on the absence of Amaravati in Indian Political Map
Ever since the YSRCP government headed by Chief Minister Jagan Mohan reddy has come into power, there has been an uproar on the capital issue with ministers comments. Moreover, the Amaravati city has not found the place in the recently released India Political Map. The ruling and opposition parties have lamented each other for the cause.
TDP MP Galla Jayadev raised the issue in the Lok Sabha and questioned why Amravati had not been given a place on the Indian film map. Jayadev believes that it would impact investments in the state.
The Center released its India Political Map on October 21 after converting Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh into Union Territories. It comprises 28 states and nine union territories. Andhra Pradesh does not have a capital name on the map. The central government has added capital to all the states and Union Territories of the country. The Telugu people who saw the map were shocked. The lack of AP capital's name has been criticized.
