TDP to announce schedule soon
Amaravati: Completion of elections in AP in the first phase gave a bit of relief to TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, but it seems he is not taking any holiday and contemplating to participate in election campaign to extend support to parties in grand alliance, in the country.
Former Prime Minister Deve Gowda asked Naidu to participate in the election campaign supporting the Janata Dal (Secular) in Karnataka general elections. During the TDP campaign in AP, national leaders including Jammu and Kashmir National Conference party chief and former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah, Delhi CM and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal, Trinamool Congress President and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Deve Gowda and others participated.
Though other leaders were also expected to visit AP, they could not come as they were busy campaigning in their own States. Naidu has been fighting against the BJP with the slogan, "Save Democracy and Save Nation." He has been claiming that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, almost all the systems in the country had collapsed and they were functioning only for the BJP.
It is known that, Naidu already announced his intention in a press conference after completing the elections in AP that he will participate in the remaining six phases of elections across the country against the BJP. He will explain to the nation on how the BJP misused Election Commission's office in conducting elections in the State in the first phase. That will help the other political parties in the country to be aware of the election tactics of BJP and how the office of EC is being misused, party sources said.
On the other hand, Naidu is determined to expose to the nation on how Modi misused the Income Tax department, Enforcement Directorate (ED), Intelligence Bureau and other Central agencies to threaten the TDP candidates in the State during the elections in the State.
So far, the BJP leaders and Union Ministers criticised TDP in AP. Now, Naidu got sufficient time to focus exclusively on BJP till the end of general elections. The TDP headquarters informed Naidu will announce his political campaign schedule for next six phases of elections shortly.
Farooq Abdullah, Kejriwal, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav and others spoke to Naidu on his campaign in their states, sources added. After interacting with the senior leaders and strategists in TDP, Naidu will finalise the dates.
