TDP to file private cases against ruling party leaders
Nellore: TDP politburo member Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said that they were planning to file private cases against the ruling party leaders.
He said cases would be filed against those encouraging attacks on TDP workers.
Chandramohan Reddy launched 'Parishkaram' programme introduced by former Mayor Sk Abdul Aziz at NTR Bhavan here on Saturday.
Somireddy said that the former Minister Nallapureddy Srinivasulu Reddy had introduced the public grievance programme way back in 1967 andused to receive grievances from the public and resolve them after discussing with the officials. Now, the government has been implementing a similar programme as part of Spandana, he said.
He however alleged that the Spandana programme introduced by the State government was confined only to YSR Congress party leaders. Petitioners were being advised to handover their grievances to the volunteers.
They are in turn recommending people to approach the local legislators. Some officials of revenue and police departments have been backing the ruling party leaders, alleged Chandramohan Reddy.
He said attacks by YSR Congress leaders on TDP activists were continuing in Nellore district. In a recent incident they had demolished a house of a party worker in Podalakur, the TDP leader pointed out.
He also explained that the growth rate in the state had decreased significantly. MLC B Ravichandra, former Mayor Sk Abdul Aziz and others were present.
