TDPs Vamsi to shift loyalty to YSRCP
Amaravati: It looks like all is set for TDP MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan joining the ruling YSRCP after Diwali. Vamsi has met YSRCP president and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday at latter's residence at Tadepalli in Guntur district.
The Chief Minister and Vamsi had a discussion for more than 20 minutes, which was facilitated by Ministers Kodali Nani and Perni Nani. Though this was the first formal meeting between Jagan and Vamsi, the two leaders had communication before this meeting, sources informed.
In fact, Kodali Nani, Perni Nani, Vamsi and another TDP leader Vangaveeti Radha are close friends beyond politics. That facilitated the joining of Vamsi into the YSRCP. Vangaveeti Radha also may join the YSRCP very soon, if the plans and talks go well as expected by the mediating leaders, sources added.
It is worth to mention here that Vamsi also met BJP MP Sujana Chowdary, just before meeting Jagan. Vamsi reportedly taken suggestions from Sujana Chowdary on the present position of the TDP and future of himself. Recently, Sujana Chowdary shifted loyalty from TDP to BJP along with other leaders.
On the other hand, during the past four months, there were some cases lodged against Vamsi by the YSRCP leaders. This also forced him to join the ruling party, observed a TDP leader. Vamsi got elected two times from the Gannavaram Assembly constituency in 2014 and 2019 on TDP ticket.
