Teams selected for State Fencing Championship in Ongole

Ongole: The Prakasam District Fencing Association announced that they have selected the district teams for Under-20 Boys and Girls teams for the 5th State Level Championship.

The Prakasam district Fencing Association general secretary V Nageswara Rao announced that the selections were held on Tuesday at Narayana Public School in Ongole. He said that they selected Hima Teja, KV Bhanuprakash, KVYS Bhargav, Sk Akram and G Manikantha in the Foil category, T Yashwanth, B Naveen, S Dharanesh and T Kushal Singh in Sabre category, S Sridharan, Ch Phaneendra, B Hemanth, S Sreyan and P Harinetra in Epee category of the boys' teams.

He announced that in the girls' teams, P Vijayalakshmi, G Rachana Reddy, Geethanjali and Bhauthikanjali are selected in Foil category, R Keerthana, K Naga Jahnavi, E Sivani and K Sandhya in Sabre category and R Keerthi, J Sai Ankitha, Haripriya and J Pujankitha are selected in the Epee category.

District Fencing Association president Balisetty Nageswara Rao and the secretary appreciated the selected players and appointed R Naga Chiranjeevi, B Bharat and R Vijayalakshmi as the coaches for the boys and girls teams. They announced that the selected players will participate in the 5th Under 20 State Level Championship scheduled at ZP Kalyanamandapam in Kakinada on November 2 and 3.
