Temperature drops in Andhra Pradesh, Chintapalle of Visakhapatnam records 6 degrees

The fall in temperatures have become concern in Visakhapatnam agency areas where the tribels were shivering for last two days. Going by the weather update, Chintapalli had recorded a minimum temperature of 6 degrees on Tuesday. The Intensity is gradually increasing due to the high pressure formed on the surface as well as the low altitude of the northeast winds. On the other hand, daytime temperatures are generally lower than nighttime temperatures due to the effect of warm winds blowing from the coast. The Visakhapatnam Meteorological Department said the situation would continue for next four days.
The Meteriological officials said that the temperature is expected to drop to 10 to 11 degrees in Kadapa, Kurnool and Anantapur districts of Rayalaseema, Guntur and Krishna districts and 1 to 2 degrees in Visakhapatnam agency. Cold is increasing in Visakhapatnam due to the effect of winds blowing in the agency. The temperature dropped to a record low of 4.5 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. Officials said the cold snap will gradually increase in coastal areas as well.
IMD, on the other hand, said the storm was currently concentrated in the South China Sea. It will gradually weaken and move towards the Bay of Bengal and gradually towards the Sri Lankan coast, IMD said. Due to this, there are indications of rain in one or two places in the South Coast district by the end of this month, The minimum temperature in the last 24 hours was 7 in Minumuluru, 10.4 in Araku Valley, 12.2 in Nandigama, 13.8 in Visakhapatnam, 15.8 in Kalingapatnam and Amaravati.
