Tenant farmers Bill passed
Amaravati: The Legislative Assembly passed the AP Crop Cultivator Rights Bill, 2019 on Thursday which provides all amenities including, banking and insurance benefits to the tenant farmers without affecting the rights of the land owner.
This bill provides cultivation rights to the tenant farmer for 11 months from the date of entering the agreement.
Reacting on the Bill, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that all benefits including the Rythu Bharosa, crop insurance, crop loan and others will be given to the cultivators.
However, the ownership rights of land owner will not be affected with the 11 month agreement signed with the cultivator who will not get the right of the land.
Earlier, moving the Bill, Revenue Minister Pilli Subash Chandra Bose said, ``this is an unprecedented move and will benefit the tenant farmers.''
``The Bill provides confidence among the land owners about their title over the lands and at the same time has provisions for the tenant farmer to get bank loans, input and other subsidies and the Crop Cultivator Rights Card.
And the CCRC will not affect the title of the land owner,'' he said.
