Tension erupts in Guntur after a man killed in an attack between two groups
The horrific incident that took place in Guntur district over a dispute between the two over the firing of fireworks turned into a violence and led to a confrontation between the two factions. One group carried out a pelting of stones at a man's house who belongs to another group. In the attack, father was killed and the son was hospitalized with serious injuries. The incident took place at Ganapavaram village in Rajupalem mandal under Sattenapalli constituency.
Going into details, Nagbhushan family of the village had a dispute with another group of people over the firing of fireworks. As the quarrel between the two grew, a confrontation ensued between the two factions. Opposition groups chanted slogans and hurled stones at the house. Nagbhushan and his son were seriously injured in the attack. Nagbhushan died on the way while the son who sustained injuries was rushed to the hospital.
Tensions were high in the village following the death of Nagbhushan in a clash between the two factions. Upon receiving the information, the police immediately reached the village and reviewed the situation. A police picket was set up to prevent any untoward incidents. Panic erupts with class struggle in Ganapavaram, known as the troubled village. Meanwhile, one person was also killed in a recent clash between the two factions in neighbouring Balijepally.
