Tension grips at Visakhapatnam airport as TDP and YSRCP cadre raise slogans against each other over Chandrababu's tour
In the wake of former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu's visit to North coastal Andhra Pradesh on Thursday, the police have deployed huge forces at Visakhapatnam airport. On the other hand, the YSRCP cadre have reached the airport to block Naidu and chanted slogans against the opposition leader. While the TDP leaders also flocked to airport to welcome their supremo, which resulted in the traffic congestion and tension prevailed.
However, with the two groups chanting slogans, the police have blocked them and maintained law and order at airport premises.
Earlier, the TDP was denied permission to hold a massive rally at Visakhapatnam to welcome Naidu. The TDP leaders were outraged on this and asserted that they would hold rally at any cost. Chandrababu who has to tour Vizianagaram will be visiting Pendhurthi mandal to express solidarity to the victims who lost their lands in land pooling.
