Tight security at EVM strongrooms: JC

Vijayawada: "We are providing tight security for EVMs," said Krishna District Joint Collector Krithika Shukla. She inspected strong room at Dhanekula Engineering College where EVMs are stored on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, she said that EVMs of seven assembly segments --Vijayawada East, West, Central, Mylavaram, Nandigama, Jaggiyapeta and Tiruvuru were stored at the college. CCTV cameras were installed at strong rooms. Round-the-clock surveillance and security was provided. The police security will continue until the counting on May 23, she added.
