A police constable lands in trouble for recording a video through TikTok app in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: Smitten by a mobile video application TikTok, another police constable lands in soup.

TikTok, a mobile video application, seems to have caught the fancy of uniformed personnel as another cop recorded a video while on duty.

The constable was seen dancing away to glory, winking, blushing and acting at his best before the camera in the short video that went viral on Wednesday through various social networking platforms, including WhatsApp.

After the two women constables who were part of all-women Shakti team recorded TikTok video in the recent past, this is another similar incident that took place in Visakhapatnam.

When asked about the incident, District Superintendent of Police Attada Babujee told The Hans India that the police were inquiring into the issue and action will be initiated against the police constable after thorough investigation.

The trend of recording a video through TikTok app seems to be catching up not only among cops in Visakhapatnam but also in other parts of the country such as Gujarat wherein a young woman cop was seen dancing in the police station. She was later suspended for recording the video during duty hours.

Meanwhile, DGP D Gautam Sawang at a programme in Vijayawada talked tough on the unhealthy trend. He said that steps would be initiated to ensure such incidents in the department would not recur.

The video recording and sharing platform has been in the news for wrong reasons, drawing flak from all quarters. However, despite the controversies, the app users have been significantly growing across the globe.

Despite the backlash, scores of people have downloaded the app. There were incidents where homemakers got hooked to video sharing platform, spending hours and neglecting their family responsibilities. Some of them also indulged in exposing while recording the video which further led to disputes.
