Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam to begin darshans for employees from June 8 on trial basis

TTD to start Darshan on trail basis in Tirumala temple from June 8. However, it is reported that there will be no prasadams and Satari which were suspended temporarily in the shrine, according to TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy. The traditional observance of tonsure in Kalyanakatta also remains suspended and the pushkarini, temple tank also closed for devotees.

Addressing media in Tirumala on Friday, Chairman said that the temple begins with TTD employees and locals will be allowed for darshan, for three days. While the devotees from other places would be allowed after three days. Daily darshan would begin at 6.30 in the morning and will be closed at 7.30 evening. TTD expects to provide darshan to 7000 devotees per day.

Special arrangements are in place at Alipiri for screening devotees and sanitization of vehicles going to Tirumala and wearing the mask is made mandatory for devotees to go Tirumala. The persons above 65 years and children below 5 are barred to visit Tirumala for darshan.

Chairman urged devotees to adhere to safety norms in Tirumala and cooperate with TTD for ensuring hassle-free darshan.
