Tirupati: 657 petitions received during Spandana held by MCT
Tirupati: There was good response to the Spandana programme conducted by Municipal Corporation of Tirupati (MCT) which was held on Monday after a gap of two months. In all, 657 petitions related to various issues like ration cards, pensions, property tax etc. were received during the programme in 50 ward secretariats in the city.
People turned up in good numbers to ward secretariats for submitting their complaints. The programme was suspended by the Corporation due to the nationwide `lock down' observed to check the spread of Covid-19 and was resumed following the relaxation by the centre in the city today. Senior officials including Corporation Commissioner PS Girisha were present to receive the petitions from the public at various ward secretariats.
Additional Commissioner Haritha led the programme in Rajiv Nagar area ward secretariat, Deputy Commissioner Chandramouliswar Reddy in Bairagi Patteda and Superintendent Engineer Udayakumar in Postal Colony ward secretariat received petitions from the public.
Commissioner Girisha who was present at the `Spandana' held in the `ward secretariat' on Prakasam Road directed the officials to upload all the complaints online for effective monitoring and wanted the petitions be solved on priority basis.
