Tirupati: AIBF to work for establishing Brahmin corporations in different States
Tirupati: All India Brahmin Front (AIBF) resolved to work for setting up Brahmin Corporation in all the States on the lines of the corporations successfully functioning in the two Telugu States Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The two-day national executive committee meeting of the AIBF which concluded here on Saturday took a decision to this effect and also to expand AIBF units in the uncovered States and Union Territories in the country.
Briefing the media on the two-day deliberations, AIBF general secretary Dinesh Dave and organising secretary Mahant Bihari said that the AIBF would rope in the 119 MPs belonging to Brahmin Community in the task of pursuing with the State governments to set up Brahmin Corporations for the benefit of the members of Brahmin community in all the States.
To begin with the AIBF would soon convene a national meeting of MPs onthe issue of setting up State-level Brahmin Corporations in all the States, they said adding that the Front would also follow up with the Centre for setting up national Brahmin Corporation. The AIBF has its presence in 18 States and 3 Union Territories and efforts are on to expand so as to cover all Union Territories and States, the Brahmin leaders said.
The Brahmin Front also placed on record its appreciation for AP Brahmin Corporation and Telangana State Brahmin Corporation for doing well for the economic development of the poor members of the community and called the State units for a sustained struggle for the social, economic and political development of Brahmins.
AIBF also reconstituted State wing of AIBF-AP with Sudarshan Sarma (Anantapur District) as president and BSK Chakravorthy (East Godavari District) as secretary. The other office-bearers appointed include C Chandra Sekhar, BV Subba Rao (Co-chairmen), Asok, Achari, DS Prasad and Satyaprasad (vice-chairmen), I Suresh Kumar, D Chandra Sekhar (additional general secretary), Rakesh Sharma (organising secretary), M Prasada Rao, Y Prasanna (additional organising secretary) and Pardha Saradhi, CRK Seshagiri Rao, Chintamani and B Viswanath (zonal secretaries).
