Tirupati: Civic chief, SP seek parties cooperation for peaceful polls

Tirupati: In view of Municipal Corporation Elections, Tirupati Municipal Commissioner PS Girisha and Urban SP Avula Ramesh Reddy held a review meeting with representatives of various political parties at Corporation office on Tuesday. In the meeting both officers urged the political parties' leaders to cooperate with election staff for conducting elections in a peaceful manner.

In this regard SP Ramesh Reddy warned that if any political party leader or candidate violates the election rule, police will not spare him. Police will act as per election commission guideline only , SP added. In the meeting YSRCP, TDP, BJP, CPM, CPI and Jana Sena party leaders have participated.
