Tirupati: Government Railway Police on high alert for Brahmotsavams

Tirupati: Security has been beefed up at Tirupati Railway station in view of the ongoing Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara of Tirumala.

Government Railway Police (GRP) DSP SM Ramesh Babu held a meeting in Tirupati station with 60 police personnel who came here for Brahmotsavam duty from various stations in Guntakal division on Monday.

He said that the passenger inflow will be very high during the coming 10 days than normal days. In view of this, police sleuths have to exercise more caution in discharging their duties.

They should be cautious about suspected persons, unidentified items and parcels in the station premises and in railway coaches and take immediate action. He said that GRP has started a help desk also on this occasion at the station.
