Tirupati: MP hails development works in Sri City
Tirupati: MP Balli Durga Prasad Rao on Wednesday visited Sri City. Sri City MD Ravindra Sannareddy apprised him on the developmental activities.
During the discussion, the MD drew the attention of MP on some of the specific issues like setting up of ESI hospital in the vicinity of Sri City, speeding up the works on the six-lane widening of National Highway-16 between Tada and Nellore and improving infrastructure at Tada and Sullurupeta railway stations.
He also has taken up the point of increasing train frequency between Chennai-Tada and Tada-Nellore, widening of road from Tada to Sri Kalahasti among other things.
Terming Sri City as 'divine', the MP appreciated the impact of Sri City on the increased economic activity in the region.
The MP said that he is particularly happy as the business city, which is home for several prestigious international brands, is situated in his constituency, offering ample job opportunities to people.
Later, he went round the mega industrial park and visited the Foxconn unit, where more than 15,000 rural women are employed in three shifts and some other companies.
