Tirupati: National Safety Week celebrations begin at Sri City
Tirupati: Sri City president (Operations) Satish Kamat inaugurated the week-long 49th National Safety Week celebrations at a function held in Sri
City on Thursday. After briefly addressing the employees on theimperative need of adhering to safety norms in work places, headministered safety pledge to the participants.
Underscoring the importance of safety in work area, RavindraSannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City in a messagestated, "National safety week is observed to create safety awareness and promote safety culture among the people in the society."
"As most accidents take place due to negligence at workplace, Sri City and its units are gearing up to conduct a walkathon on March 4," he added.
N Sekar, Vice President (Projects) and C Ramesh Kumar, Vice-President (Customer Relations) also spoke on the occasion. As part of the programme, with the assistance of CSR team, K Narendra Babu, Manager, Safety organised a Fire fighting training to the trainees at Sri City Siemens Technical Skill Development Institute.
Narendra Babu informed that as part of the safety week celebrations, several awareness programmes and slogan, essay writing and drawing competitions will be held for employees and students throughout the week. The programme will culminate on 4th March, the National Safety Day.
