Tirupati: Provide amenities to poor patients, Additional Judge advises Ruia Hospital
Tirupati: The Fourth Additional Judge and Tirupati Mandal Legal Services Authority In-charge Chairman G Ramagopal visited Ruia Hospital in Tirupati on Monday and expressed his dissatisfaction over the poor state of affairs in the hospital.
He observed that two or three patients were put on a single bed in the casualty. The Judge has visited various wards and the central lab.
Later speaking to the media, he said that poor people visit government hospitals and it is the duty of the government to provide good medical care to them. Hospital management has to provide minimum amenities to the poor patients.
The prevailing situation in the hospital will be taken to the notice of higher officials, he said.
He also said that the public grievances can be taken to the notice of Mandal Legal Services Authority office located in the court complex. Hospital Superintendent Dr V Bhavani, Civil Surgeon RMO Dr S Saraswathi and RMO Dr U Srihari and others were present.
