Tirupati: Religious fervour marks Rathasapthami
Tirupati: On the occasion of Rathasapthami, Saptha Vahana Sevas were organised amidst religious fervour in Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple here onSaturday.
The Vahana Seva commenced with Surya Prabha and concluded with Garuda Vahanam in the famous temple. While at 3am, Sudarshana Chakrattalwar was offered Chakrasnanam at Alwar tank in Kapilatheertham.
It was a cynosure for the devotees to catch all the vahana sevas on a single day. The event is also called Upa Brahmotsavam.
The utsava murthy of Lord Sri Ramachandramurthy was taken out on a celestial ride on Suryaprabha Vahanam in Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy temple.
In Nagalapuram, Rathasapthami was observed as a colourful and spiritual event with religious fervour in TTDs Sri Vedanarayana Swamy temple.
The series of vahana sevas commenced with Suryaprabha Vahanam followed by Hamsa, Tiruchi, Kalpavriksha, Sesha and Chandraprabha vahanams.
The festival was also conducted in TTD temples including SRi Padmavathi Ammavaru, Tiruchanur, Srinivasamangapuram and also in Narayanavanam Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple.
