Tirupati: Sri City gets community central kitchen
Tirupati: Touchstone Foundation, an independent charitable trust associated with the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), Bengaluru, opened a community central kitchen for serving breakfast and lunch to corporate population in Sri City on daily basis.
Named as 'Govinda Foods', the facility manages operations from a single point of control; including receiving, storage, preparation, delivery, maintenance, among other processes that form the cycle of food preparation.
DSP, Sri City Bh Vimala Kumari inaugurated the kitchen in the presence of Kaunteya Dasaji, Chief Operating Officer, Touchstone Foundation, Sri City MD Ravindra Sannareddy and a host of senior executives of industrial units.
Kaunteya Dasaji briefed on the salient features of the central kitchen and mentioned that the profit gained from the service will be utilised for the charity schemes run by Akshaya Patra, an ISCKON-backed non-profit organisation.
