Tirupati: Sri City industries provide amenities at government schools
Tirupati: The MPP School at Thonduru Village adores a new look with addition of a spacious classroom, donated by Sri City based Parksons Packaging Ltd. Knowing through Sri City Foundation that the high school in their vicinity was facing classroom shortage, the management of the company came forward to donate a classroom costing Rs.10 lakhs. The good gesture was part of the company's corporate social responsibility.
In a programme conducted on Tuesday at the school premises, B Anandal Babu, Plant Head of the company formally handed over the classroom to the headmaster, in the presence of Ramesh Subramaniam, President, Sri City Foundation and Saraswathi, Mandal Education Officer.
PepsiCo Foundation funded for constructing toilet blocks at MPP Schools of Irugulam and Madanapalem villages under their CSR budget. On behalf of the donors Ramesh Subramaniam dedicated the new amenities to the schools in the presence of Ravi, MEO of Satyavedu.
On the specific advice of Sri City Foundation, the toilets were constructed through RASS, Tirupati under the technical guidance of Water Aid (CSR partner of PepsiCo Foundation). Cost of the construction was Rs.4 lakh.
