Tirupati: TTD outsourced, contract employees intensify protest

Tirupati: Intensifying their agitation, the outsourced and contract employees working in various departments in TTD on Wednesday staged a dharna before the TTD administrative building here to press the management to adopt a resolution for withdrawal of resolution it passed in its trust board meeting in February for merging the outsourced and contract employees with the state-level Andhra Pradesh Corporation for Outsourced Services (APCOS).

Speaking on the occasion, CITU district president M Nagarjuna, general secretary K Murali urged the TTD management to pass a resolution in the trust board meeting slated on Thursday nullifying its earlier decision to take the outsourced employees under APCOS.

They said that the outsourced employees, though paid less have been rendering good services for long to the pilgrims and the TTD should in recognition of their services, give up its move to take them under the control of APCOS.

Reminding that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy assured to give time scale to all the outsourcing employees working in TTD, if his party voted to power, the two leaders said that the TTD should immediately consider time scale to the 15,000 outsourced employees working in TTD.
